About the job
Within Connectivity Platform in R&D, we build products that enhances the experience of owning a car. Our teams develop connectivity products and services for our vehicles – connecting them anywhere and anytime!
We are looking for people to strengthen our SW Release team within Connectivity Platform, be the driver for SW release and configuration to support SW deliveries from Connectivity Platform.
As a SW Release and Configuration Engineer, you have below responsibilities:
Follow-up with Supplier for SW delivery and related activities.
Align with Release Manager and attend Delivery status meeting to confirm what SW/HW will be delivered to each milestone from

Connectivity Platform.
Upload SW to different tools when there is release candidate and deliver to milestone release
Connect release documents to SW uploaded in Confighub
Upload documents to Teamcenter for every SW milestone release
Ensure SW Structure and Part Numbers are aligned for every milestone release
Ensure Carcom and SDB diagnostic signal database are aligned for every milestone release
Perform SW signing for production intent SW (Bootloader, Supplier Factory SW, VCC Integrated SW)
Ensure Bootloader information is aligned between Supplier and VCC
Perform SW Joint Reviews and support Design review input to Department HW & Mechatronics
Support sourcing process and documentation for new projects
Support QOP (Quote One Pager), VPC (Volvo Part Change), financial forecast and approval
Generate SWRS (Software Requirement Specification) from different tools
Support factory through deviations
Support aftermarket topics

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you with at least a BSc degree in Software Engineering, or similar.
You have strong passion and competence of SW release and configuration management in the automotive industry, including SW development, SW test and verification, SW branching, CI (Continuous Integration) robot test, SW configuration for different variants, and SW release documentation.

You have strong technical background and communication skills that allow you to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders, help the organization to define the SW release and configuration management scope, process and WoW (Way of Working) and continuous improvement on process and quality.
