Our unit Safe Vehicle Automation develops and delivers leading Safety and Autonomous Driving. We even control the vehicle’s 6 degrees of freedom of movement in the most energy efficient way, creating a rewarding and confident drive and ride experience.

Our purpose is to develop and deliver Vehicle Motion and Control, ADAS, Highway Pilot and Protective Safety.

What we do:

The department consists of ~160 skilled engineers and we are responsible all the way from research and advanced engineering to implementation, verification and validation of current and future customer offers. Our products quality and customer response are also our responsibility.

Our ART (Agile Release Train) Protective Safety develops and integrates system and functionality into a complete product, encompassing SW, HW – ECU and peripheral sensors.

For Protective Safety, electronic sensors and ECUs detect, determine and activate different devices e.g. airbags and belts in case of an accident, and the system protects occupants inside the car and pedestrians outside in a crash situation.

In addition, our ART is also responsible for HP GNSS (High Performance Global Navigation Satellite System, which is one of the major contributors for enabling the Highway Pilot functionality.

What you will do:

In our ART Protective Safety, we are now looking for an ambitious Senior SW System Design Engineer. You will be a member in one of our Agile Scrum teams and dependent on your previous skills and experience, you will have the possibility to work with various SW Design Engineering features. The work also includes to lead and plan the work needed, as well as to report to management. Cooperation with other teams within the ART as well as other Engineering Departments/ARTs, Procurement, Production, testing facilities etc. is part of your daily work.

Different technical solutions are to be evaluated to secure that the vehicles meet our high safety standards., and you are also expected to contribute to our new architectural SW development for our ART Protective Safety in general. The team also have an overall responsibility for Integration and release management for domain crash control.

Main responsibilities:

  • To plan, lead, and perform the needed SW design.
  • Be responsible for developing, aligning, implementing and document relevant requirements with high focus on performance & robustness
  • Leading technical reviews for the product.
  • Alignment and reviews of system interfaces.
  • Actively participate in reviews of DVMs (Design Validation Methods).

 

Required qualifications

  • M.Sc or B.Sc in mathematics, mechatronics, electronics or physics
  • Work experience as senior engineer within SW development.
  • Experience in SW system design and SW requirements for High-performance computer systems.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Scrum/Agile knowledge.
  • Knowledge in release management is meritorious.
  • Experience within automotive development
  • Knowledge in System/Functional Safety (ISO26262), Cyber Security is meritorious.
