Scrum Master – Team Void (CI/CD)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master to lead Team Void, our Continuous Integration (CI) team. At the core of our Android platform development, Team Void ensures fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines that empower developers to innovate confidently. You will drive agile processes, foster collaboration, and help the team meet increasing demands for Continuous Delivery (CD).
As Scrum Master, you will guide a team of five developers, ensuring smooth workflows and continuous improvement. Team Void integrates daily and deploys automatically to downstream systems at least twice a week. Collaborating with the Agile Release Train (EACS – Entertainment and Connected Services), neighboring teams like DUXI’s CI team, Cicada, and management, you’ll play a key role in removing obstacles and aligning goals across trains. While agile facilitation is your primary focus, solving minor development tasks is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Remove impediments and streamline team workflows.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and practices to encourage self-organization.
- Align priorities with Product Owners and ensure a groomed, actionable backlog.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, other Scrum Masters, the Release Train Engineer (RTE), and management to achieve team objectives.
- Work closely with DUXI’s CI team, Cicada, to address shared challenges and ensure toolchain cohesion.
- Drive the team’s transition from CI to CD, enabling efficient and reliable delivery.
- Adapt CI pipelines and tools to integrate seamlessly within the Volvo ecosystem while leveraging Google tools where applicable.
- Promote innovation, quality, and continuous delivery practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software development.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in Android development ecosystems and CI/CD environments.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and foster team trust and collaboration.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD platforms.
- Minor development task capability is a positive but not required.
Personal Traits:
- Servant leader: You prioritize and support your team’s needs.
- Collaborative: You work effectively with developers, stakeholders, and cross-train teams.
- Adaptable: You excel in dynamic environments and manage changing priorities seamlessly.
- Proactive: You anticipate challenges and act decisively to overcome them.
