Desktop Specialist
Job Description
Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist to design, configure, and manage VDI environments using Microsoft AVD and RDS. Responsibilities include implementing security policies, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with teams to integrate VDI with IT infrastructure. You will also monitor performance, provide technical support, and stay updated on AVD and RDS advancements. This role requires onsite presence for three days per week.
The client is looking for someone with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as adaptability and teamwork capabilities. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively while effectively managing tasks and deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience with Microsoft AVD and RDS, including designing, configuring, and managing virtual desktop environments.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V).
Experience with network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Background in Computer Engineering or a related field.
Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
If you have experience in additional IT infrastructure technologies such as storage solutions and network security, it will be an advantage. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, as well as knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, is beneficial. Holding relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, is also highly valued.
