Job Description
The IT Governance SME is needed to design the cloud foundation at our client with the main focus being out of region DR uplift.
You’ll be welcomed to the Cloud Team, part of Infrastructure Engineering.
We add value by enabling capabilities in public cloud and transforming the way infrastructure services are consumed.
As Cloud Governance SME you’ll play a valuable role in defining and executing the bank’s cloud strategy.
What you’ll be doing
Working closely with key stakeholders across Business and Group Business Support.
Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats and recommendations for new policies and standards to address the risks.
Define key measures and metrics and assist with the visualization, reporting and enforcement of compliance.
Report and escalate compliance gaps to the appropriate teams responsible for addressing configurations in the specific cloud scope.
Understand and address security frameworks for inclusion into future enterprise standards and Architecture.
Drive risk identification and assessments for cloud activities.
Govern and manage overarching processes applicable to cloud.
Keeping updated with legal and regulatory guidelines relating to cloud, translating into requirements and securing delivery to a high standard of quality.
Specialization in AWS cloud, IT resiliency and data recovery.

Top Skills
Have a good understanding of security concepts, compliance and banking regulations related to cloud.
Knowledge/understanding with Microsoft Azure and AWS computing platforms.
Have background and have a thorough understanding of cloud technologies.
Able to build relationships, and influence decision makers to create, refine, deliver and evangelize information security standards and designs that balance business and security priorities.
Background in infrastructure with a knowledge of building applications.
Proven track record in leading and being a team player, influencing and resolving conflict.
Have a transformational mindset in defining new ways of operating and working technologies.
Your experience and background
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or any other related technical field or relevant work experience required.
3 + years of experience in Governance, risk & compliance required.
Requires advanced to expert level understanding of regulatory landscape and related control requirements.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in business terms.
Must be comfortable presenting to all levels of management within the organization.
Self-Directed /Self-motivated/Self Starter.
Preferred education, experience & skills
Certifications preferred but not required:
CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
ISSAP: Information Systems Security Architecture Professional.
CISM: Certified Information Security Manager.
CCSP: Cloud Certified Security Professional.
