Application Database Specialist

The role:
As an Application Database Specialist, you will be part of a team of specialists in the Database area.You will be involved in managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, both on cloud AWS and on prem. This includes Daily operation, tuning, capacity planning and consolidation. With SQL development knowledge you will be involve in new development /enhancement along with product development team and supporting them with runtime activitiesYou will be involved in discussion with the different projects regarding their needs and guide them to a suitable solution. You will be working together with the Domain Architect to create new solutions and secure their deliveries.

Your profile:
Experience in handling PostgreSQL & MongoDB database in production. (Mandatory skill PostgreSQL at least 3 years hands-on managing PROD systems)Good Experience handling database in AWS (Amazon web Services) and good cloud engineering knowledge (Mandatory skill)Good Experience in AWS CI/CD tools.Good Knowledge of programming in python or typescript.Ability to work independently and drive activities.Development Experience in Database area will have added advantage.Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with NoSQL Database.Leveraging best practices in continuous integration and deliveryExperience in implementing changes to larger database environmentsKnowledge of monitoring tools outside of CloudWatch is an advantageExperience in handling On-Call support
