The Durability Trim & Closure team supply the organization with virtual and mechanical test analysis focusing on strength, fatigue life, homologation and functional testing. We work on a system and component level with requirements derived from customer usage of our cars. We provide our knowledge to our car programs through targets and test methods to support analysis needed to help drive the engineering of world leading products. The work is performed in close collaboration with test analysis engineers and engineers from the design departments.
Main responsibilities
– Plan, execute and analyze results from CAE and tests to provide design engineers with recommendations in car programs.
– Report test results and lesson-learned to summarize gained experience to be carried back to concept work in future car programs.
– Together with your team members contribute to requirement and method development based on attribute knowledge, CAE/test results and experience,
Required qualifications
– MSc in engineering, mechanics, strength, fatigue, dynamics, or similar
– Experience with non-linear structural simulations and experienced in complex contact analyses.
– Have proven skills in pre- and post-processors such as Ansa, Meta and solvers such as Abaqus, Nastran and LS Dyna Fluent in English (written and spoken).
– Meritorious if skilled in Testing and analysis, strength and endurance
