Job Description

Our client is making bold digital visions come true, aiming to lead in the automotive world by creating a digital ecosystem to simplify customers’ lives. In their next-generation vehicles, they’re leaping into the future with a capable centralized compute platform, hosting most of the active safety, driver support, and vehicle motion control software (SW). They aim to provide safe, personal, and sustainable mobility, striving towards a future of Zero Collisions.

Their mission is to create a Vehicle Control Unit platform using new technologies like DriveOS and NVIDIA’s latest chip technology in combination with more traditional car signaling technologies. This core computer and corresponding platform will simplify software/application development to create a safe, reliable, and secure platform for increased innovation and speed.

The embedded test setups are built around the above-mentioned computer-in-the-car architecture. These setups are a combination of vehicle simulator and real hardware components to emulate a real vehicle with all the relevant dynamics. Their team(s) are responsible for the development and maintenance of these embedded setups, ensuring they can execute relevant test cases for platform, software, and function verification. These are state-of-the-art test setups, critical for testing software before the final product launch. Hence, you will be working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, solving problems and challenges daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, set up, and configure embedded test environments supporting current and future projects.
  • Work with Software application and deployment on core computer and embedded GPUs, doing modeling work with Matlab and Simulink.
  • Enable test automation, moving towards Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. within Electrical/Embedded Systems, Electronics, Physics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Software Development, Verification, and Validation.
  • Fluency in English and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Meritorious Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in vehicle communication protocols.
  • Programming skills in Matlab, Python, C++.
  • Working knowledge in hardware-in-loop environments such as dSpace or Vector.
  • Experience in SW platform development, including middleware.
  • Knowledge in vehicle/traffic simulation.
  • Knowledge in integrating sensor technologies (radar, camera, lidar, ultrasonic, etc.).
  • Verification in vehicles at the system or functional level or experience in test automation.

Desired Attributes:

  • Motivated by challenging tasks in a complex and innovative environment.
  • Passionate about executing challenging technology development and teamwork.
  • Enjoy learning from others, sharing knowledge, and possess social, structured, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
