Frontend Developer

The client have a need to strengthen the TV Product Management team with a highly skilled frontend developer who will be part of the frontend development squad. The squad includes frontend developers as well as architects and QA from the TV Tech team, and is responsible for developing and maintaining the stream applications.

The frontend developers are responsible for developing features using primarily React and React Native (but also JavaScript, HTML and CSS). The input derives from UX-wireframes, Figma-designs and feature specifications. In addition to developing new features, key responsibilities include bug fixing and general maintenance. Tools used include for example Jira, Confluence and GitHub.

The candidate is expected to be able to work independently and perform tasks allocated by the Product Owner/Agile Team Lead.

Required skills

• be proactive in identifying problem areas in code, user experience pain points and suggesting ways of fixing them

• be great at communicating, problem solving and working in a team

• have very good knowledge of React and React Native

• have experience with managing source code using GIT and GitHub

• have experience from Android Studio

• be great at fetching and updating data using third party REST API:s

• have a desire to improve the end-user experience by applying the above-mentioned skills

Preferred skills

• Experience with TV and media

• Knowledge of modern JavaScript, HTML and CSS

• Reading and understanding legacy code

• Experience with developing web apps on Samsung Tizen and/or LG webOS

• Experience with the Xcode iOS and tvOS simulators

• Experience with CSS/JS animations and transitions

Soft skills

• A communicative problem solver

• Taking own initiatives and suggesting improvements

Requested Level

Knowledge – high generalist skills, or very high competence in the relevant area / role.

Experience – has been involved in major projects in the area in and perform tasks with very high quality. The level is normally achieved after at least 7+ years of work in your area / role.

Management – take primary responsibility for leadership of the larger group Independence – very large
