This is what you will do
As our Global Measurement Engineer, you will act as support to our global testing departments within AB Volvo with a high level of responsibility within the measurement equipment and data collection area. We can offer you an interesting and exciting experience, where you will be involved in the development of tools and equipment to be able to meet new demands in both rigs and complete vehicle testing.

The role includes daily contact with test leaders and engineers to ensure we deliver the service and support requested. You will also be involved in different kinds of investigations for new equipment. Gather requirements and work with purchasing to select and finalize the right vendor. Drive strategy and improvement initiatives.

Work tasks
Understand existing and future requirements on test equipment and manage all investments for the same.
Generate ideas and pre-studies to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality demands on testing equipment
In co-operation with equipment suppliers finding technical solutions and be part of the realization and commissioning of new equipment
Drive planning of activities with our measurement engineers, consumers of data and with our vendors to ensure we have all equipment on time.
Drive global network groups and actively share strategy and adaptation of equipment needed.
Lead larger initiatives for new equipment as a project and manage all needed deliveries for the same.

Top Skills
University Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Fluent in English, spoken and written
Project management experience of about 2-3 years.
Experience from measurement equipment in connection to automotive testing
Ability to collect requirements for new equipment and drive projects.
Excellent communications and networking skills
Good presentation skills, able to make the complicated understandable.
