Data & Analytics Governance specialist

We are looking for a data governance specialist with experience in implementing governance practices in data and analytics functions. You will join a team of specialists with great passion for data governance and data management. Together as a team, we will work on building capabilities for federated data governance, aiming for computational governance that will enable governance by design. Your role in the team will be to focus on establishing data governance capabilities, guardrails, and guidelines for our analytics data platform on Google, where cross-competent teams are building data products. This will not only require technical capabilities for data governance on Google Cloud Platform, but also training efforts and education on how to adhere to our data governance policies, both towards technical resources building data products, but also analysts on the business side who use data and sometimes create new data products in their daily work.

The role of a Data Governance specialist comes with a lot of responsibility – and lots of fun. Here is a list of what you can expect to work with:

• Act as subject matter expert for data governance topics in data and analytics.
• Work together with the Data Governance team to roll out governance capabilities for company’s most critical data assets.
• Define principles, guardrails and guidelines together with the product teams to secure that solutions are aligned with the architectural principles of Data Mesh.
• Serve as a link between business and tech to ensure that the management of data is in line with current and future business requirements of the company.
• Implement data governance roles and responsibilities to ensure clear accountability for the most critical data assets.

• Experience from writing guidelines and guardrails.
• Experience from large and global organizations.
• Used to working with both technical and business questions.
• Excellent verbal communication and documentation capacity in English.
  It is beneficial if you have previous experience from project management and agile way of working.
