What’s in it for you?
Would you like to be part of an amazing organization serving one of the core areas of the Volvo Cars business? You will be part of our Developer Experience organization with the mission to create great developer experience by providing platform products that support high performance & productivity for our software engineers. For us, every software engineer and software team at Volvo Cars is a potential customer, and we are obsessed with understanding our customers and how we can help them to be successful and productive.

What you’ll do
We are seeking three skilled DevOps Engineers to join our Platform Observability Team. You will play a key role in supporting the observability stack used by application teams. The team works according to agile and scrum principles. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with application teams to ensure application reliability and performance. We promote modern DevOps ways of working and are responsible for supporting shared DevOps toolchains at an enterprise scale. The assignment consists of development and operational work, including on-call once every 5th week.

Who you are
We see that you have experience integrating and supporting cloud-native observability tools like ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, InfluxData, and Azure Monitor. You enjoy working hands-on and have excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. You actively participate in discussions with stakeholders and members of your team. You are an excellent communicator, have proficient writing skills and a great ability to work in a team environment. We also see that you are familiar with working in a product-oriented organization working towards Team Objectives and OKRs.

As a person, you are tech-savvy, self-driven, outcome-oriented and have a *-as-code mentality. You are resilient and a strategic thinker with enterprise-scale, developer experience, and micro-service architecture in mind. You are an expert in monitoring and alerting systems using ElasticStack, InfluxData, and Grafana. You have strong scripting and automation skills, with experience in Kubernetes, Terraform and Python. You also have experience working closely with application teams to integrate observability tools into the software development life cycle.

You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, and worked with Git Version Control. You are fluent in English both written and spoken. Note that this assignment is on-site with at least 3 days/week in our Volvo Cars office in Torslanda.

So, if you are passionate about developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and efficient systems, and you have a proven track record of working with observability and monitoring tools, we would like to hear from you. Apply now and become part of our great team!
