What we offer
We are looking for a consultant to join our group which is responsible for Driver Vehicle Interaction. We are located in Scania’s Design studio, Södertälje, together with colleagues in Industrial design, Surface and Design quality, Prototyping/Models and Ergonomics. You will be part of a team that’s defining what Scania’s mission “Driving the shift” means for our drivers with the ambition to make our drivers their very best and each workday enjoyable.

You put the human in the centre of all your design work with the ambition to bring them the best possibly product experience. You have a strong ambition in contributing to more sustainable products, for the good of humanity. You build your concepts on insights about the user’s needs
and expectations.
You thrive when you work in close collaboration with your team, but also have the ability to drive and deliver the work that’s under your own responsibility. Beyond the collaboration with your closest team, you also enjoy cross functional collaboration both with designers from other areas,
as well as colleagues from technical groups. You know when to stretch the solution space to explore all relevant possibilities and can quickly iterate multiple directions without getting stuck on single ideas. At the same time, you understand the importance for narrowing down and focus
on time to keep the project’s time plan.
You are structured in mapping the information and data that’s relevant for your task and understand the importance of documenting your work along the way. Relevant educational backgrounds include interaction design, cognitive science or industrial design. Interest in and ability to understand technical aspect are crucial skills for being successful in this role.
