Network Solution Architect
Job Description
As a Solution Architect you will work within the Technical Service Area Network. We are focusing on operating and managing the internal Network and at the same time developing the next generation Network for a cloud-based application delivery, collapsing our Network, and running Network as a code to increase end user experience and Network availability for our business across all locations around the world. We work closely with suppliers and outsourced functions to govern optimal spend and cooperation within the Network domain.

As a Solution Architect you will be in the center of the action contributing and learning new skills every day making sure that the clint’s global Network delivery is in line with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Take lead in design work for new solutions supporting business initiatives requiring new functions and services.
- Develop, build, and manage the client’s Network, transforming our legacy network to network as a code with a service layer.
- Control that architectural policies and guidelines are followed and in accordance with roadmap.
- Documentation of service design package and service description.
- Documentation of guidelines, processes and routines.
- Cooperate and coordinate with stakeholder’s contribution with Network knowledge to reach business needs.
- Contribute to the Domain and Product Area strategy and OKRs.
- Striving for cost efficiency and automation based on trends and new technologies for service-layer oriented Networking.
- Provide technical engineering and best practices concerning the overall Network.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations as needed to help our company develop.
- Understand and visualize concepts that are not yet concrete, and use your problem-solving skills, strong analytic ability, creativity and customer and business drive to find a solution.
- See the big picture, identify patterns and instinctively know how to win support for your ideas.
- Take the initiative and are not afraid to take the first steps to identify and address existing and potential obstacles, issues, and opportunities.
Qualifications
As a Solution Architect we believe you are a true team player who has several years of experience of global IT and complex network environments with basic understanding of Agile methodology. You can take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments You will be a key player and we believe you are adaptable, collaborative, open-minded and able to work in a flexible environment with a non-prestigious approach.
We believe you have experience from:
- Network design and Network architecture
- Creating High, and low-level designs
- Planning, design and lifecycle management for global WAN networks (either from ISP or big IT organizations)
- The ability to understand business needs transforming them into design for new services or infrastructure functionalities
- Design and implementation of routing, switching, WAN optimization, MP-BGP, Ethernet QoS, DMVPN, VPLS etc.
- A curious mindset to learn and understand how the Network delivery can support the business needs
- The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies and apply architectural principles to business solutions
- An understanding about product development from ideation to release.
- Cloud networking and cloud connectivity solutions in a multicloud environment
- Understanding of network security ((IPS, proxy, firewall, reverse-proxy, load balancing, VPN),
- Experience of micro segmentation and profiling
- IP Networking and SDWAN and SD-LAN
- Running network as a code
- Scripting, python, ansible, Git etc.
- Network automation and programming
- Experience of working with APIs and system integrations
- Knowledge and experiece of Cisco and Aruba environment
