Are you who we are looking for?
Do you want to be part of shaping the future of secure in-vehicle experiences? Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and integrity of connected automotive infotainment systems? Volvo Group is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to help secure our cutting-edge infotainment and driver interaction platforms, ensuring the highest standards of security in every design.

Your Role:
As a Cyber Security Architect, you will focus on the security of Driver Interaction and Infotainment systems in Volvo Group’s next-generation vehicles. You will develop and implement security strategies to protect against emerging cyber threats, ensuring that our systems remain secure, reliable, and compliant with industry regulations. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a pivotal role in embedding security into the core of our infotainment ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement a robust cyber security architecture for Volvo Group’s Driver Interaction and Infotainment systems, with a focus on security-by-design principles.
Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities across Android Automotive and Linux-based infotainment platforms, ensuring all systems comply with industry security standards.
Develop and manage security frameworks, covering areas such as secure boot, access control, encryption, and secure software updates.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure security measures are integrated across infotainment features such as navigation, multimedia, and connectivity.
Conduct threat modeling, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security gaps.
Lead the implementation of secure coding practices, and guide teams in adopting security best practices during development.
Ensure compliance with security regulations such as ISO 21434, UN R155, and internal Volvo Group security policies.
Monitor, assess, and respond to emerging cyber security threats and implement appropriate countermeasures.
Provide technical leadership in securing communication between infotainment systems and cloud platforms while focusing on data protection and user privacy.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in cyber security architecture within automotive infotainment or embedded systems.
Strong expertise in securing Android Automotive and Linux-based platforms, with a focus on driver interaction and in-vehicle user experiences.
In-depth knowledge of cryptographic protocols, secure software development, and embedded systems security.
Experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in embedded systems.
Strong understanding of infotainment connectivity protocols, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and wireless security principles.
Familiarity with automotive security standards and compliance regulations (e.g., ISO 21434, ASPICE, GDPR).
Programming skills in C/C++, Java, or Python with experience in secure software development.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to Have:
Experience working with Android Automotive OS and securing multimedia or connectivity systems.
Previous experience with secure over-the-air (OTA) updates and managing security aspects in vehicle software distribution.
Knowledge of hardware security modules (HSMs) and managing secure boot processes.
