At the Project and Product Strategy Office we are proud to navigate and lead the Volvo Group’s transition into the future of sustainable transports. As Program Planning and Assurance Manager you will be part of a high performing team of experts within project and program management. You will lead and influence the program/project planning and quality assurance activities in one of our major product development programs. By making sure that the programs successfully meet the program targets you are part of securing a predictable product launch to our customers. To succeed with your tasks, you will use your expertise in project management together with some well proven methods and tools. You will work independently but you will not be alone. Your main focus will be as the team’s expert in scheduling and planning, driving the way we work in these areas forward. You will do that by having these core responsibilities:

  • Lead and secure the planning of one or more programs/projects
    o Develop and maintain program and project main time plans
    o Secure the development of component level time plans
    o Facilitate time plan workshops
  • Lead and secure the strategic work for our time plans
    o As global key user within GTT for PTM (Project time management) – the Volvo time plan tool
    o As our group’s expert in scheduling
  • Lead the parts planning and parts securement work of one or more projects/programs
    o Secure deliveries and parts for builds and introductions

Required competences and experiences:

  • University/Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of work experience including planning on component, project or program level
  • Experience of project management
  • Skilled in scheduling
  • Skilled in working with PTM (MS Project)
  • Knowledge in business intelligence tools, e.g. Excel, Power-Bi, …
  • Skilled in facilitating meetings, real and virtual
  • Analytical and well organized is a must
  • You show ownership mentality with a strong drive for results solving complicated task
