Job Description

The Service Area Manager/Chapter Lead is on part time sick leave and our client needs to add capacity to the team/role. The role is combined with the Chapter Lead Role described below but also with a more operational part as Service Area Manager, keeping a whole Infrastructure area together when it comes to one-time and run-time activities.

The Mission
In this role you will be a domain expert with an additional responsibility as line manager for chapter members. As domain expert, you work on assignments, and you’re involved in day-to-day work as a member of a delivery or product team or as an individual contributor on an assignment.

    As line manager, you support chapter members in their professional growth and on challenges on assignments. You meet with chapter members regularly to discuss and drives excellence in specific competence areas, including best practices, framework and tools.

    Key responsibilities
    Develop and guide individuals within their chapter to build the appropriate skills and capabilities needed for successful adoption of agile and adequate domains principles and practices
    Define and keep updating with the latest version of skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver technical/functional excellence
    To lead, coach and develop chapter members to ensure that they will be able to understand the overall organization strategy and work towards achieving it
    Proactively drive the discussions with product owners to ensure implementation of process methodologies and tools in the respective chapter
    Share knowledge within the group and actively stay updated on innovations and trends within the areaAble to apply agile principles outside technology solution development to drive business agility
    Continuous improvement mindset; willing to challenge status quo and dissent when needed
    Develop the working methods for domain, build a domain competence community and enable knowledge sharing across domains
    Creating high performing teams across the products, domains, technology
    Establish a good relation with delivery managers / product owners / TD/BA Function and good knowledge about their deliveries and their competence needs
    Manage capacity planning, ensuring short and long-term capacity
    Actively contribute to Chapter development and pro-actively propose solutions and services that will improve the delivery from the chapter
    Manage end to end line management responsibility for the chapter
    Collect and share market trends and best practises
